A walk through centuries - Kotor - private tour starts in front of the Sea Gate. We will give you introduction to this beautiful town, its history, heritage, walls and gates, and after we will proceed to the main square of Kotor, the Square of Arms. 17th century architecture, charming squares, old churches and palaces of local aristocracy will help you imagine life in golden age of Kotor. All the streets lead to St. Tryphon cathedral, the symbol of Kotor town. We will visit the cathedral and proceed to all the monuments and notable places in Kotor. We will end the walking tour of Kotor old town on Square of St. Luka, and then we will go to a restaurant and try the amazing Mediterranean lunch. After the lunch we will take you to taste one of the best desserts in Montenegro and we will conclude our tour with a glass of wine, beer or soft drink in a beautiful old town pub.

ITINERARY

09:00 Meeting in front of main gate/your hotel in Kotor

09:00 - 09:15 Getting to know Kotor, the walls of Kotor, the numerous gates, river, the Square of Arms, the Duke’s palace (XVII century).

09:15-10:15 We will get to know: The watch tower (VIII century), Cathedral of St. Tryphon (XII century), Church of St. Luka (XII century), Napoleon’s Theater (XIX century). We will tell you stories behind numerous palaces like: Bizanti, Beskuca, Buca, Pima, Grgurina which today is Maritime museum. We will pass by and tell you some of the best kept secrets about old Kotor prison and finally we will go to the square of cats where amazing church of St. Osanna (XII century) is located.

10:15 - 11:45 Climbing St. Giovanni fortress (optional)

12:00 - 13:00 Lunch at the most amazing, historic place in Kotor. Tasting of local delicious cake. After ths we will toast to a wonderful day.
