The first case of coronavirus infection in Montenegro, after a 42-day break, was recorded on June 14, and as the health authorities announced at the time, it was an imported case. The Institute of Public Health announced that 200 samples were analyzed, of which seven were positive for the coronavirus. As IPH Montenegro stated, four patients were registered in Podgorica and one each of the municipalities, Cetinje, Rozaje and Berane.

"Four new patients are contacts of a previously confirmed case, while three new patients are currently looking for the source of the infection," the Institute of Public Health announced on June 17.

Since the outbreak of coronavirus, Montenegro had 333 people infected. 7 patients are positive on coronavirus, 315 patients cured, 9 people passed away. The death rate of people infected in Montenegro remains the lowest in the region.
